Our Time

Our Time is a self advocacy video group run by and for people with learning disabilities

 

The films being screened here represent just some of the films Real Time have created over the years.  We work with many people and groups from Reading and without them these films would not be possible. These are truly local films made by and for local people.

Our Time has been active for over 20 years and is a unique organisation offering creative opportunities to people with learning disabilities. As well as making videos, the group also run workshops and encourage others with disabilities to become involved in video work.

Over the years, Our Time group members have made many films and have successfully applied for funding from a variety of sources to support their work.

Recently the Our Time group have been making video-diary style films about their lives and interests. Our Time’s most recent film is about Lynda Fidler’s interest in visual art and her exhibition of illustrations at Reading Library.

The Our Time group meets regularly, and are always interested to hear from anyone who would like to join them, or who have an interest in video.
