In Reading, Real Time worked with young people to produce a video including interviews with veterans from the army the navy and the air force. Participants creating the film also had special clearance to produce a behind the scenes documentary at the home of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Aborfield Garrison.
Interviews with local veterans prompted a visit to The Berkshire Museum of Aviation in Woodley to research the local history and links with aviation.
Real Time also worked with Cadets from Brock Barracks in the Oxford Road area of Reading talking about being part of the Royal County of Berkshire Army Cadet Force.
During the celebrations in Forbury Gardens, and Broad Street, Reading, on Sunday 28 June, young people filmed activities and interviewed the public to find out their views on the day and the film was screened at Forbury Gardens, courtesy of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
