'The use of a video as a communication medium was excellent and a perfect springboard for the awareness project. Real Time left us with a permanent reference point for all audiences.'
Peter Baveystock, Waste and Recycling Manager, Wokingham Borough Council

We run high quality workshops and projects, putting participants at the centre of the action from beginning to end. They are thoroughly involved in developing a project's creative content and process, and are placed in positions of responsibility and control.

Projects are practically based, including games and exercises using the equipment from the outset. Emphasis is placed on team work and the sessions are planned to be as enjoyable as possible, building confidence and self esteem.

Throughout the process participants develop technical abilities and a wide range of communication, organisational and social skills.

People's abilities and potential are developed through involving them in hands-on use of the equipment to record each other and to tell their own stories.
By being directly involved in the recording process participants are able to watch themselves and the films they are making. Seeing the recorded material generates an immediate sense of achievement.

We also ensure that participants are fully involved in the editing and postproduction phases, either using mobile edit facilities or Real Time’s postproduction studios.

High quality films are produced, with a screening providing a focus to complete the work, raise the profile of the project, celebrate and acknowledge the contribution of the participants and provide a springboard for future work.

Each participant takes away a DVD copy at the end of the project.
