about us

Video and digital media are powerful creative tools to motivate and empower.

Real Time runs high quality workshops and projects, which are predominantly group based. People's abilities and potential are developed through involving them in hands-on use of the equipment to record each other and their environment and to tell their own stories.

Real Time's approach means anyone can take part. Real Time encourages participants to represent their ideas by working creatively together to make innovative and original short films. It is our fundamental belief that hands-on use of the equipment leads to a thoroughly creative and fulfilling experience.

Through the process, participants access a means to examine the world around them, raise awareness and develop self confidence. This approach is educational in the widest sense stimulating thought, expression and interaction.

Real Time believes that participation is key in developing ideas and communication.

Real Time makes video and digital media highly accessible. Real Time's use of video is particularly appropriate for engaging hard to reach groups. Projects can take place anywhere, in the most fitting location for the particular group, individual or project. By being directly involved in the recording process participants are able to watch themselves and the films they are making. Seeing the recorded material generates an immediate sense of achievement .

Real Time prioritises project work with hard to reach groups..
